The Avalanche Protocol (APD Avalanche) is an open-source code developed by PeckShield, a blockchain security company, as stated in their official blog post on July 17th. The purpose of this project is to create a more decentralized and trustless network environment. It aims to address the scalability bottleneck by utilizing consensus algorithms, without relying on other chains. Additionally, it introduces a new transaction type called “Flash”. It leverages Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Ethereum’s smart contract language C++ and Rust, among others. Furthermore, this technology enables developers to easily implement their own applications.
APD Avalanche
According to official sources, APD Avalanche (Aptos Distributed Election) is the first decentralized distributed storage protocol on Aptos. Its main advantages lie in supporting smart contracts and permissionless blockchain technology of the Lightning Network. It provides a secure, efficient, and scalable environment for enterprises. In terms of application layer, APD Avalanche is an open-source distributed system solution, allowing developers to build their own applications and run Ethereum-based applications such as DeFi or NFTs.
