Today, we share the Torchlight 2 Engineer skill point strategy. Let’s take a look together.
Engineer: As an Engineer, his skill point allocation and occupational positioning are the same!
First, in the early stages of the game, the Engineer’s skill point allocation is as follows: prioritize “Mechanical Arm,” supplemented by “Electric Shock” and “Pulse” because these two skills require time accumulation. Then, fully upgrade the remaining skills such as “Electromagnetic Interference,” “Pulse,” and “Pulse Barrage,” and finally, allocate the remaining points to the Mechanical Arm.
In the game, the Engineer’s main DPS skill is “Pulse Barrage.” When the player reaches level 30, they can increase the level of “Pulse Barrage” to level 3, at which point they can unlock “Energy Shield.” When the level reaches 35, they can upgrade “Pulse Barrage” to level 3, at which point they can unlock “Ion Detonation,” and then allocate all the remaining points to “Overload.”
When the player reaches level 50, the Engineer can upgrade “Overload” to level 2, at which point they can allocate the remaining points to “Electric Link” and then allocate the remaining points to “Powerful Charge.” When the level reaches 65, the Engineer can upgrade “Pulse Missiles” to level 4, at which point they can allocate all the remaining points to “Electric Shock” and “Pulse.”
Due to the existence of the “Electric Shock” skill, players must choose carefully during the upgrade, otherwise it can easily lead to waste. Therefore, it is recommended to prioritize “Pulse Barrage” (main upgrade), and then fully upgrade all other skills to maximize the effectiveness of the skills. In addition, “Blink” and “Laser Cannon” should also be fully upgraded, so that players can obtain a brief invincibility time when using skills.
Although the Engineer’s “Pulse Barrage” has a certain range of damage, it cannot penetrate targets. Therefore, when upgrading, it is necessary to prioritize this skill. If the player’s equipment is poor, they can appropriately add some points to “Blink,” which not only allows them to dodge boss attacks but also ensures that they will not be killed instantly, thereby obtaining more output opportunities!
