The 2019 MSI schedule has been announced, breaking the traditional format! (Exclusive unveiling of the 2019 MSI Mid-Season Invitational, who will claim the crown?) In League of Legends matches, the Mid-Season Invitational will advance to the global finals with a 3-1 format. With the completion of the group stage and knockout stage schedule, the top 16 teams from each group will compete in the next round and eventually enter the finals!
The grand finals of the 2019 World Championships will kick off on October 30th – November 4th at 8 pm (China time). This match will adopt a BO5 double round-robin format. In the regular season, each team can field a maximum of 2 opponents, and a BO7 single round-robin match will be played with two teams. During the match, all participating teams’ players will be divided into four groups, starting from 12 small groups. The top three teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals, finals, and the fourth stage. The schedule of this international invitational tournament will adopt a BO5 mode, and there will be 6 BO5 single elimination matches in this match. In addition, in this competition, we will also add an additional scoring item for each game – a total of 6 scoring items, namely: total points, total win-loss ratio, and total score. The top 16 players in each group will receive a star.
In this event, we will group the teams from all servers to determine the top 8 rankings in each group. After the group stage, the top eight teams will be placed in the second stage of the group stage; teams ranked 9th to 15th will be placed in the finals, where they will determine the final battle through points.
In addition to the rules of the regular season, this season also introduces a new format:
The first global finals will use BO5.

The fourth European finals will use BP (Best of Points).
